A McDonald's Ad and the comments it got

It all started as I was looking around on the web and went to the Yahoo main page. On the Yahoo main page was a news story about some French McDonald's ad that had just gone viral. So since, like most of America, I've worked at McDonald's and have eaten there a few times I decided to check it out.

Well the ad shows a young boy sitting in the booth waiting for his dad to get back and looking at his class picture. He then get a phone call and tells the person on the other line that he misses them and he is looking at their class picture and he loves them and whatnot and as his dad gets back to the table he hangs up the phone. His dad goes on and talks about how in his school days he was quite the ladies man and goes on to say that it's too bad everyone in his son's class is a boy cause he'd make quite the ladies man himself.

My impression of the video was that was a cool ad although it sorta sucks that he had to hide it from his dad but oh well. Well after that I started to read the comments section to see what other people thought, and boy did it piss me off. It seemed like every other post people were bashing and the saddest part is those comments were all getting positive reviews while many of the pro-homosexual comment had very negative reviews some were even in the hundreds negative like -127 or -135. This makes me sick!! Why is it that in the year 2010 we still have people that are so immature and ignorant that they can't except homosexuality? We have plenty of homosexual celebrities that people seem to be ok with, like Neil Patrick Harris, Ellen, and Jane Lynche, heck there is even a homosexual character on one of my favorite shows, Glee, but have a McDonald's ad with a homosexual teen in it and you've got people threatening to boy cot McDonald's and saying that "they will all go to hell"

That brings me to another subject, and that is religion. So many of the comments were from the worst kind of person I've seen, Bible Thumpers. Now don't get me wrong I know some people that follow Catholicism are ok and are not like those idiots, but it really makes me glad I'm pagan. We generally don't care what people do or who they do for that matter. In fact one of the most central things they try to drill in your head is a derivative of one of the basic laws of paganism, granted depending on your path the wording is different but the meaning is the same, and that is "The Golden Rule" (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you). One popular way of saying it is "An it harm none, do as ye will!" another way of saying it is "Do as thy wilt as to the upholds of the law (or something like that the only people I could think of that would know it by heart didn't respond to me. I mean come on who is sleeping at 12:30 AM lol) anyway you say it the meaning is the same As long as you don't hurt anyone then do what you want. This means that many of us accept people no matter what even if you claim to be an alien from another planet, granted we may think you are a little out there but as long as you aren't hurting anyone then more power to ya.

In closing let me just say this while I'm not homosexual I don't care one way or another if you are just as long as you are happy with whomever your partner is then I'm fine with it. NO ONE should judge ANYONE. I know that many of us are guilty of judging people but how do you know if that "scuzzy person" or "that dude that says he is actually from the planet Qwerty" or the "gay guy that looks like a hippie" isn't a nice person if you don't stop judging people. Who knows maybe just maybe they could turn out to be your good friend Kathy or Brent or Kyle and not something bad but if you judged them and avoided them based on your judgments then you'd never know. So I guess the best way to some it up would be to quote a movie quote that thanks to a friend I remembered again, and that quote comes from the 1989 movie "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" the quote is simply this "Be Excellent to Each Other"

My Hectic & Wonderful Week Part 1

Well this past week was one hell of a crazy one for me. It all started last Wednesday when I got up early to take my grandma to the airport then after that I promised my sister I'd help her move the last of her stuff from where she was staying back to my mom's house, however leaving the airport instead of going on 275 North I went 275 South and I ended up getting very lost luckily I was able to get directions from a cute girl at a 7-11 that was able to get me to 19.

Well I finally made it to my mom's house and after packing up some more stuff I waited around for Marisa to get off work. Once she got home I followed her to the house she was staying at, we grabbed her stuff and I dropped it off and left because I had to run home and unpack my car before heading back out to find the house where my friends wanted me to meet them.

Well I got in the car after getting the directions to the house and ended up driving right past the street I had to turn down and going all the way to Tampa when the street I needed was in Dunedin. By the Way if anyone from there happens to read this that has any kind of power you need to first of all change the color of your street signs (like to oh I don't know green like the rest instead of brown or black) and second of all if a street is a major street (like say one that has a Minor League Stadium on it) make it more NOTICEABLE. Well I eventually made it and loaded up the truck with all of the equipment.

Thursday I woke up early and met my friend the Blue Knight at his house we ate some breakfast and we went down to downtown Tampa. Unfortunately we didn't get proper directions and we ended up driving around downtown Tampa for about 2 or 3 hours trying to find the Hyatt. It was so bad that we ended up having the same conversation, "What would you do with $213 Million if you won Powerball?",three times. After stopping at a gas station for directions the second time, since the first one had no clue and had an out of date phone book, we finally made it there and proceeded to set up the dungeon for the Fetish Convention. One of the coolest things about this day was I had a random cute girl complement me on my Wolverine shirt that is kinda ragged.

Friday the day was pretty uneventful I basically just unpacked everything, but that night after eating an excellent steak diner made by the Blue Knight we went to our friend Rook's house, where my oldest younger sister Dustie is staying and played an excellent game of Call of Cthulu where our characters who had just gone through a bunch of shit got thrown together with a shrink who kept telling us the stuff we were talking about were impossible and we were crazy. It was fun and the guy playing the character seems pretty cool.

I will go into full detail about Saturday and Sunday which were the days I attended the convention in my next blog but right now I'm kinda tired and still recuperating from the week.

Life & How Easily It Can Change

You know 4 months ago if you would have told me that I'd be living at my grandma's, my younger sister would be living in Brooksville with my friend, and my youngest sister would be living with her friends parents all leaving my mom to bust her ass to the point of exhaustion and pain just trying to take care of the house and three dogs, I would have called you crazy. However that's exactly what happened all because of my asshole of a stepfather.

My younger sister Dustie was supposed to be living here at my Grandma's house but after she met my friend Rook at FPG she moved out of my Grandma's and into his place with him, so she wasn't officially a part of the situation at my mom's house, but my other sister and myself were. For me it started about early June when my stepfather started getting on my case about not having a job, something he promised he would not do as one of his conditions for moving back in. He was getting quite aggressive about it and we went to words many times. Then one day while I'm not at home he goes into my bedroom and takes my ritual robe, because he didn't want it in his house. You see as many of you reading this know I'm pagan and he's supposed to be a Christian, however he is a very close minded individual and very un-Christian like but I won't get into that, and so he told my sister Marisa who was there at the time that he was going to throw it away and burn it. This ritual robe is more to me than just something that was bought at the store, you see when my sister Dustie was living in South Korea for a year she pick out the material for the robe and had it shipped to my good friend Gina's house. Gina then put her heart into making the robe for me from that material so that I could have it for Yule. Thankfully my mom prevented him from doing it but that point was that he had invaded my privacy which to me is a huge deal-breaker. That is one of the lowest things a person can do. a person's room is their room not anyone else's and unless they have permission they should not go into another person's bedroom. If he freaked out about a robe that was hanging on the back of my bedroom door, which meant he had to walk in the room close the door and turn around, then I'd hate to see what he would have done to my alter if I had set one up.

Anyhow after that I went straight to my grandma's house and have been living here ever since. My sister Marisa moved out a few weeks later because she was tired of my stepfather's, her own father's, bullship.

For a while I was on the fence about weather I should go back there but only for 2 reasons my mom and my dog. I knew that my poor mother would be stuck doing all the house work wearing her self out, to the point where now she has to go see her cardiologist, with no help what so ever from my stepfather or my stepsister. This upsets me even more, I went over to visit my mom last week and she looked like hell because she had been cooking spaghetti, doing laundry (my stepfather's first before hers even though she had no uniforms to wear to work that night), cleaning out the fridge, and taking care of the dogs who are supposed to be potty trained but even my dog has been bad to the point where they want to get rid of him. He is a great dog and very lovable, but apparently without me there he is getting no attention even when he needs to go outside. Meanwhile while all of this is going on my stepsister is just lounging around in her bedroom. Just seeing my mom get disrespected like that is unbearable the worst of it is if the stuff isn't done before he gets home he starts yelling at my mom, yet he doesn't force his daughter to be more of a help other than once in a while emptying the dishwasher. However when I was there we didn't have that problem I would always help my mom out with everything and would try to keep the house clean and tidy it up.

However living at my grandma's house is much better for me anyhow. One reason is that the energy at my mom's house is so negative it's frightening, whereas the energy here at my grandma's house is quite the opposite, I can tell my grandma enjoys me being here. The only times it gets bad is when she starts thinking of my grandfather she understandably gets very sad almost to the point of tears, however with me being an empath I feel the sadness and have to choke back tears of my own. Another reason is since staying here I've been eating healthier and less often which means I think I may have lost some weight. The final reason, not including the given fact that I enjoy spending time with my grandma, is the fact that I'm much more closer to all my friends, any events the may go on, and even my school.

So I'll close my not so little rant with this cherish everything in your life because you never know if and when it's going to get flipped upside down.

(Oh crap now I have the theme song for Fresh Prince of Bel air stuck in my head.)

Now my stepfather has made my choice for me

Michael Jackson

Ok Now I know he died a few days ago but after seeing all the comments online I figured I'd put in my two cents. Now this may upset many people but I'm sick and tired of hearing about him. Yes he was a great artist and will be missed but come one people give it a rest.

One of the things that really gets me is the fact that everywhere I look for every one person that talks about how sorry they are to see him go there is two people talking about him being a pedophile. Now this may upset certain people but according to the courts and the law he is not. Now I don't feel this way for all people that have been accused of this but the fact of the matter is he was a celebrity and in this crazy mess up world of ours people will say or do anything to bring down a celebrity. He has been a celebrity since he was 8 years old. How would you feel if you were forced to grow up too fast at a young age. Yes he was eccentric and had many kids over at his mansion and at Neverland but he just felt that he identified with the little kids. Think about it who did he idolize? Peter Pan, for crying out loud, the boy who refused to grow up. In fact there is a psychological disorder that he might have had called Peter Pan syndrome. So in other words in his mind he was still a little kid and when you were a little kid did you sleep in the same bed as other little kids? When you did did you think of doing anything sexual with them? I doubt it. So in my opinion as well as what the law says he was not a pedophile so give the guy a break and drop it. Some of the other negative comments I've heard are
that he was turning himself into a white woman. Well I'm sorry but he had a skin disease called vitiligo that causes the loss of skin pigment. Now I have nothing to say about his plastic surgery, but the moral of it is this, THE MAN IS DEAD! WHY MUST YOU SPEAK ILL OF THE DEAD? Not to mention the fact that he himself was a father. So before you open you mouth think about the fact that you are badmouthing the dead brother, son, and father of someone else.

I instead choose to remember him for the fact that he was one hell of an entertainer and the muses and Apollo must have been by his side through out his career cause WOW could he sing. He his such a pop icon that many people were influenced by him. Hell he was named the King of Pop because of his great talent. Who can forget Thriller with the Vincent Price narration and laugh. Hell how many times have you tried to do the moonwalk? Although I must say my favorites were Billy Jean and a lot of his 90's stuff.

So I guess all in all what I am trying to say is may he Rest In Peace and may all of this media coverage and all this fanfare about his death go away. Although I do want to see one thing and that is an all star tribute to him celebrating him, his music and his charity work. With his family right up front.

Movie Remakes and a Thank You

Well I was having a conversation earlier about movie remakes so I figured I would list a few of my favorites along with the originals. Some of these I had no idea were remakes until I looked them up.

The first one is “13 going on 30” with Jennifer Garner which is a remake of a movie called 14 going on 30. This movie was pretty good I especially loved the music including the Thriller dance. Her attitude in the movie is so funny. This is one of those that I had no idea it was a remake although I don’t know if you can count the original or not since the plots are different and the first one a made for TV movie and not released in theaters.

Cape Fear was another good one that I saw once again I never saw the original one but the version I saw with Robert DeNiro was good. DeNiro is a very good actor. He has played so many good roles and usually plays such a macho guy; however his role in Stardust was great however seeing him dress up as a woman in scenes was hilarious.

Ok now Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was another good movie. Some people may not like this version however from what I am told its closer to the book than original was. Personally I liked both versions of it.

Ah yes Cruel Intentions another great one. Who can forget the great kissing scene between Sarah Michele Gellar and Selma Blair? I know I can’t. Plus Sarah was kinda slutty in this movie although the whole incest thing wasn’t so great.

The movie “Four Brothers” was a really good movie with one of my favorite actors Mark Walberg. Well apparently this was kind of a remake of a John Wayne movie called “The Sons of Katie Elder”. Four Brothers was really good and dealt with four adopted trying to avenge the death of the woman that raised them.

I just saw the remake of Friday the 13th and I loved it. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out, they did an awesome job with it and the best part was Jason didn’t get hockey mask until halfway through the movie.

Well not all remakes are good though take Godzilla for example the originals were cheesy but good. However this remake was just awful. I mean come on a radiated lizard egg? Oh and who can forget the lone Japanese guy who can only say Gojira. This was so crappy it was actualy nominated for the Golden Raspberry award.

Gone in 60 seconds was a remake that I had no idea was a remake. From what I’ve read the plots of the two movies are similar. Plus this movie had Nick Cage and Angelina Jolie.

How can I talk about movie remakes and not talk about Halloween. Rob Zombie did such an excellent job remaking this movie. Hell they even begged him to do sequel which comes out on August, 28.

Well since the WARP contest is now over I want to say I enjoyed reading everyone’s blogs and those of you that read mine thank you very much and I will continue to post here and there and will continue to post my Return of the Dragon Gods story every week. I still have a few more stories from my times hanging out with Eric including a video we made of basically me making a fool of myself. Well we’ll see when I blog next but I am defiantly going to take a break. So for now thank you every one.
